PDSL - Singles 501 League
PDSL OFFICIAL RULES SPRING 2026
Rules and League Structure:
- Entry Fee:
The entry fee is $25 per person. $5 goes towards Dart Connect fees per person for the season, and the remaining $20 goes towards the final playoff pot for players. This must be paid by 2/6. - Match Format:
2a. All games played will be 501 SIDO only. To win a set, you must win a best of 5 legs. To win the match, you must win 5 sets. Minimum 9 games, maximum 25 games.
2b. Closest to cork will shoot first for the first game of the first set (Set 1 Leg 1). For the second game, the loser of that initial cork starts. This rotation continues for the entirety of the set. If you get to a rubber match, you shoot for cork again. The winner of that new cork starts leg 5.
2c. Mugs away starts sets 2, 3, and 4.
2d. If you reach set 5, you shoot for cork again, and assume the new order. Only one final cork can be thrown after, to determine Set 5 Leg 5 side starter.
2e. Each set win will award 1 PT (1 point) and each match win will award 1 MW (1 match win) in Dart Connect. These are the “translations” for it. Please note that playoff standings are decided based on the amount of MW someone has accumulated during the season. More on this below. - Division Format:
3a. There are 4 divisions of 8 players, for a total of 32 players
3b. Standings are determined by the leader of MW (match win) using PT (points) as a tiebreaker.
3c. After that, head to head record is used, and then PDSL Lynbrook All Star Points. - All Star Points
All Star Points are tallied as scoring a 95 or higher on your turn. Each score counts once towards total tracked All Star Points. - Season Schedule
5a. Each player will play on a 14 week schedule, playing each opponent in their own division twice.
5b. Each player will be assigned a 2 hour time block on a pre-assigned board at the Shannon Rose Pub on EITHER Wednesday or Thursday nights each week.
5c. Time blocks will be split into two sessions. Session 1 shoots from 7-9PM, and Session 2 shoots from 9-11PM.
5d. Read your schedules carefully, as you might not meet during the same block every week. This is due to us trying to accommodate every single person in our league’s schedules as best as we can.
5e. If the match is going to occur at any other time or venue, it is the responsibility of both players to make the league admins aware as soon as possible. This is put in place so that we can free up board space, and make it available for the rest of the league for either makeups or an early game.
5f. Games may be played out of order of the assigned schedule, if administrators are informed about your reschedule. If you need to push back your game by two weeks, there are always makeup days offered. If you’d like to play your game ahead of time, there are makeup days offered. If there is a board that is registered to be open on Wednesday or Thursday nights, Bob and Kaylin will inform the league.
5g. 7PM matches must finish by 9PM. Failure to start by 7:30 can result in your match being suspended (paused to be resumed at a later date) to accommodate the next match of the night. If the match is a few legs away from being completed, and the game behind decides that they are not in a rush, the match may be completed. We are all here to work as a team that communicates with one another. Communication amongst all parties is the only exception to this rule.
5h. Please be mindful of smoke and bathroom breaks in an effort to be mindful to the slotted games around your board. - Venues
6a. Players may only play league matches at approved venues. These venues as of this moment are still being confirmed, and will be sent out via email at a later date.
6b. Please note that these venues will also have Monday and Tuesday night leagues going on, so there is no availability on those nights.
6c. If you are attending a match at a bar outside of the Shannon Rose, please bring with you a fully charged and WiFI accessible tablet, as well as a charger. We cannot guarantee that the bars will have devices to supply, so it is on the players to bring their own. - Playoffs
7a. To qualify for playoffs, you must place anywhere within the Top 6 in the standings in your division.

At that point please contact Bob and Kaylin and we will address the issue as we see fair and we will have final say. - South Shore Darts Lynbrook PDSL Zero Tolerance Policy
This league’s purpose is for everyone in the league to improve their dart game, gain gameplay experience, and find their place within our ever-growing dart community. We will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior towards your opponent, anyone else in the league, or towards members of staff, especially when we show our faces at away bars to get some darts in. If such a situation does occur, please report it to the league administrators, Bob Mango and Kaylin Tephly. We reserve the right to investigate the event, and then decide an appropriate response. These can include a warning, suspension, or expulsion from the league. This is merely a precaution we have to list to ensure that every dart player that walks through our walls has a positive experience.
